The camera, not lying

Here's an uncanny photograph of two presidents.

They are walking side by side and yet in opposite directions. One - in shadow - walks into the past as the other - in bright sunlight - walks into the future.

And who is that anonymous figure in the background?

I think it's actually Obama's shadow - he's making some gesture with his right arm, hidden from the camera's view. But the effect is uncanny - the anonymous figure could be a stand-in for all of us waving good bye to Bush - for good (in every sense of the word).
