All-time low congressional approval = all time high for anti-government ideologues

Some Democrats may take a bittersweet satisfaction in the fact that John Boehner’s Republicans have earned the lowest approval ratings in congressional history – but they’re wrong to do so.  Not because it’s not nice to take satisfaction in the misfortunes of others, but because this does not represent a failure on the part of the Republicans.  Widespread disgust with congress represents a resounding success for right-wing anti-government ideology.

Democrats need to remember that whenever government is discredited in the eyes of the people, the GOP wins.
