Michael Brown's Body: on Ferguson and tragedy

Some thoughts on the tragedy in Ferguson, Missouri, which I recorded last Summer.

The killing of Michael Brown was a tragedy in many senses, including the formal, literal sense - it was a contemporary playing out of the clash of values and attitudes that Sophocles dramatized 2400 years ago in his play Antigone, one of the greatest and most durable of all Greek tragedies.
